Thoughtful Things To Do For Fathers Day

You might not know it, but Father's Day is coming up! This year, you can be the best child ever and favorite by celebrating him with one (or more) of these amazing and great activities. In fact, plan an entire week of creative things to do for father's day.  He'll thank you later for making his day a little bit brighter and he might even share some of his delicious cooking with you.

1) Take him out to breakfast - Who doesn't love a great stack of pancakes?

2) Plan a picnic at the park or beach - Bring your favorite foods and make sure to bring the entire family and enjoy plenty of sunshine.

3) Cook a family meal together - You're guaranteed to have fun while trying new recipes that are perfect for summertime grilling.

4) Also, if you're not too busy, plan a special father-son day trip.

5) Look for ways to spend quality time together on a regular basis - Set up weekly dinners or go to the park every Saturday.

6) Shock him by doing some family research and creating a family tree of his ancestry. Check online for some great sites for this.

Now, let's take a look at some of my favorite Father's Day gifts:

  1. A gift basket filled with his favorite goodies (Cookies! Wine!) and wrapped in newspaper from back when he was born
  2. Another idea would be to make a photo book of all the good times you've had together
  3. A personalized coffee mug that says "Best Dad" or some other dad phrase
  4. A coupon for four hours of free childcare or housekeeping while dad and mom or his significant other enjoy visiting one of his favorite restaurants, bar, hotel, etc.
  5. Or get him an experience he'll never forget like a trip to a man spa for relaxation.
  6. If you really want to deliver - create a space for a man cave where he can enjoy his own private space or maybe semi-private.  :-)
  7. If he long overdue for a vacation, plan something for him and give it as a gift - make sure the dates are flexible so he can use it.
  8. Remember, going to the ballpark or a sports event is always a good option.

Finally, have a party at home! Invite all of your friends over for some drinks in honor of him.

Whatever you do, just keep in mind the idea is to create a very special and memorable time he won?t soon forget.
