How to Start Smoking a Cigar: A Beginners Guide

In this article, I am going to go over the basics of cigars and how you can start smoking them. The first thing that we will talk about is what cigar smokers should know before they start smoking. After that, we will take a look at different types of cigars and their price ranges so that you know which ones are for you. We'll then discuss tools like humidors and lighters, as well as tips on buying your first box or pack of cigars!

Now, how to start smoking a cigar? The first thing you will need is the type of cigar that appeals to you. There are many different types out there and they all vary from milder smokes like Connecticut varietals or stronger smokes like Maduros. Not only do they have different flavors but also present various levels of nicotine in them which you may want to take into account if you are wanting a cigar for more than just the taste.

The next thing that we will need is something to light our cigars with, so find a lighter or matches and make sure they're handy! If there's any wind around it may be best to avoid using your hands as well because this can easily cause you to drop the cigar and that's something nobody wants to have happen.

Next, we will need a poker or other long instrument like tweezers for removing any excess tobacco from your wrapper. You don't want there to be too much because this can affect how you enjoy the flavor of the smoke so keep it neat!

Bunching is some people's favorite step because it allows you to create a more enjoyable draw. It can be done by rolling the cigar in your fingers which will provide a better grip for when we go to light it up.

Lastly, there are a couple of ways that cigars can be lit: with fire from another source like matches or a lighter; and using electricity such as home soures or car lighter. The most common way to light cigars is with matches, so we will use that in this demonstration. By the way, I recommend that you NEVER use gasoline because it can be very dangerous if not used properly!

First, place the match under the tip of the cigar and then bring it to a light to see the actual fire of the match. It is important that you only hold the match to one side of the cigar, so try not to use both hands! The heat from the fire will cause a chemical reaction and ignite tobacco in your cigar.

After a few seconds, turn the cigar in some of your fingers to ensure that it is evenly lit and continue holding until you start seeing smoke coming out of the other side of the cigar. After this, you are ready to smoke the cigar! I recommend taking a few puffs and then blowing out before taking another one so that the taste is no longer on your palate. Be sure to enjoy your newly lit cigar responsibly!
