A camera is a tool and it's up to the photographer to make something great. It's not enough for you to just take pictures, you need that special eye. I've been taking photographs for years and have learned some valuable lessons along the way.

What is photography?
Photography, in its most basic form, refers to the process of creating images using a camera. This may sound easy - after all, anyone can take pictures with their phone these days! But it's more complicated than that and takes many years of training to master. In today's society, there is an overwhelming amount of information coming at us from all angles. The need to be able to see and understand without bias has never been more important than it is now. Photography can help people read the world around them by capturing moments frozen in time that would otherwise pass unnoticed or misunderstood on their own merits.
Why photography?
We live in a fast-paced culture with too much going on for any one person to take everything they come across seriously; witnessing something happen isn't enough anymore because you're still only seeing what you want out of life instead of experiencing it like everyone else does most days. Things are happening so quickly nowadays that if we don't capture every detail then some things might get lost forever--photography is the only way to make sure that doesn't happen.
In this blog post, I am going to share my tips on how you can develop your eye so that you can become a great photographer!
1. Find your style
If you're just starting out, it can be hard to find your style as a photographer. With so many different types of photography and styles in the world, how do you know what type is best for you? You might want to start by deciding on one or two types that interest you most; they'll probably offer some clues about what direction would suit your tastes better than anything else will. Next thing's first: if there are particular photographers whose work speaks more deeply to who YOU are-the images convey an emotion or feeling similar enough to yours-follow them! See where their journey takes them in time through galleries showcasing their evolution over time (and maybe even get inspired along the way).
2. Take a lot of pictures
Getting the perfect shot is challenging. It requires a lot of time, patience, and skill. Anyone can take pictures with their phone or point-and-shoot camera but it takes someone who really knows what they are doing to develop into an amazing photographer that leaves people speechless every single day. This means you should be very deliberate in your work as well as how much effort you put into taking photos because there's always room for improvement
3. Practice composition and framing
It is important to focus on composition and framing when practicing photography. You can create different compositions by focusing your camera, moving it around the subject matter, or choosing a shallow depth of field which makes everything in front of you blurry but leaves what's in the foreground in sharp detail. Experiment with all three options!
4. Learn about different types of photography, including portraiture, landscape, and street photography
Experiment with different aspects of photography in this class, including portraits and landscapes. You'll also learn how to capture the world around you using your camera!
5. Improve your skills through online tutorials or classes at the local library
It's never too late to learn more about your interests. Explore the internet for tutorials that are geared towards where you want to take your skills or find a class at the library in order to better hone what you already know! As someone who is always wishing they could do something different and explore new things, I am constantly looking into online resources. There might be some really helpful tips on there if it seems like something I've been wanting to try out but feel intimidated by trying myself with no knowledge of how this topic works - so give yourself an education without even having had any formal classes beforehand!
